‣ When is the wedding?
Our wedding celebration takes place on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Below is a quick overview agenda of the day:
4:00 PM: Welcome Cocktail Reception
5:15 PM: Wedding Ceremony
6:00 PM: Food Service Begins
‣ Where is the wedding?
The wedding is being held at the Island Yacht Club. This is on a private island and is only accessible by boat. Private tender boats depart from 539 Queens Quay W. NOTE: THIS IS NOT THE SAME DOCK AS CENTRE ISLAND. (See “Directions” for more details and departure schedule)
‣ How do I get to the dock to get there?
The dock is located beside Billy Bishop Airport at Queens Quay West and Dan Leckie Way. It is NOT the dock to go to Centre Island.

‣ Is it a seated dinner?
Our wedding celebration will be a party, with no assigned seating or plated courses. Instead, enjoy a fun BBQ and a variety of food stations at your own pace! Click here to view the menu.
‣ What should I wear?
The theme is “Relaxed Luxury”, which is a fancy way of saying business casual or cocktail attire. We want our guests to feel comfortable. Here are some suggestions if you need ideas!
- Example outfits for women:
- Sundress, wedges, and a floppy sunhat
- Cocktail dress, cute flats, and big sunglasses
- Summer pantsuit with sensible shoes
- Example outfits for men:
- Polo shirt, khakis, and deck shoes
- Short-sleeve button down shirt, chinos, and loafers
- Summer suit with no tie and clean sneakers
- Hats and sunglasses are welcome and recommended. And don’t forget the sunscreen!
Note: You are also welcome to wear a suit and tie or a ballgown, if you’d like.
‣ Do you have a gift registry?
We do not have a gift registry and because transportation requires travelling by boat, we also do not want to burden our guests with carrying packages to the venue. If you wish to bring a gift, we recommend a gift that can fit in a wedding card.
‣ What happens if it rains?
Our wedding team has a backup plan and the ceremony will move indoors! The schedule of events will remain the same, and the tender schedule will operate as scheduled. If the weather is rainy, bring a light jacket and/or umbrellas just in case.
‣ Is there a cash bar?
No, our bar is open and hosted until last call at 10 PM. We’ll also have plenty of non-alcoholic options!
‣ Are kids welcome?
Yes! Supervised children’s activities are available onsite so you and your children can enjoy the festivities at the same time, but through separate experiences! An experienced camp counsellor (The Island Yacht Club runs a summer camp program) will supervise kids in a separate children’s playroom with games, activities, and air conditioning.
‣ What time does the last boat leave?
Each tender boats holds around 30 people comfortably. Please arrive at the tender boarding area a few minutes before your chosen departure time.)
• Departure trips to the Island: Tender boats will depart at the following set times:
3:40 PM | 4:00 PM | 4:20 PM | 4:40 PM
(Then, hourly, beginning 6:20 PM until 10:20 PM)
• Returns trips to the Mainland: Return trips will run on an hourly schedule, starting at 6:00 PM and ending at 11:00 PM.
