RECOMMENDED ATTIRE:

  • “Relaxed Luxury”: Stylish yet comfortable attire suitable for summer and an indoor/outdoor setting.
  • We encourage casual elegance attire (think “business casual” or “cocktail attire” for the outdoors).
    • Example outfits for women:
      • Sundress, wedges, and a floppy sunhat
      • Cocktail dress, cute flats, and big sunglasses
      • Summer pantsuit with sensible shoes
    • Example outfits for men:
      • Polo shirt, khakis, and deck shoes
      • Short-sleeve button down shirt, chinos, and loafers
      • Summer suit with no tie and clean sneakers
  • Hats and sunglasses are welcome. And don’t forget the sunscreen!
  • Note: You are also welcome to wear a suit and tie or a ballgown, if you’d like.

CHILDCARE & CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES:

For guests bringing children to the wedding, childcare is available onsite so you and your children can enjoy the festivities at the same time, but through separate experiences! The Island Yacht Club runs a summer camp program and the venue will have an experienced camp counsellor onsite and a separate children’s playroom with games, activities, and air conditioning.

GIFT REGISTRY:

We do not have a gift registry. Additionally, because transportation requires travelling by boat, we also do not want to burden our guests with carrying packages to the venue. If you wish to bring a gift, we recommend a gift that can fit in a wedding card.

Peacocks on the Island: The venue’s island is also a bird sanctuary and the venue itself is home to a pride of peacocks, led by Conrad and Bella (the resident mascots of the yacht club). Please don’t be alarmed if they join the festivities!
